Early Times Report Poonch Oct 5: Ongoing reaction from Pakistan in Post surgical strike has created panic among border dwellers living along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch which is witnessing heavy firing from Pakistan causing huge loss to civilian property. According to the sources, in wake of prevailing tense situation, the people living on LoC are apprehending more heated hostilities in near future if the present trend goes on and thus are feeling insecure and unsafe. "Factually Poonch district is covered from three sides by Line of control (LoC) and many villages like Gagriyan, Sawjian, Shahpur, Jhulas, Malti, Dalhan, Degwar, Kirni, KrishnaGhatti, Balakote, Balnoi, Mankote and many other border villages are vulnerable to heavy losses due to ceasefires violation from Pakistan side, they added. Sources said that residents of these border villages feeling unsafe alleged that administration and state government have failed to assure security to locals and their property. Locals alleged that they have only single crop on border villages which may destroy if they left their houses and demanded for the underground bankers in all border villages, where people during shellings may take refuge. They appealed to Deputy Commissioner Poonch Muhammad Harun Malik to fulfill the need of border occupants and provide the underground bankers to them. Locals namely Krishen Singh Awal and Sunil Kumar Gupta have raised fingers over state and central government for having failed to come upto the expectations of people. |
