Ranchi, Oct 5: In continuation of the streak to take J&K towards new heights in terms of e-literacy and professional pinnacle, Managing Director, J&K State Industries Development Corporation Amit Sharma led from the front in all-important PSUs Session at 2nd e-Jharkhand Conference which was attended by a huge gathering where in Raghubar Das, Chief Minister Jharkhand was the Chief Guest and bureaucrats, technocrats, bankers, industry champions and e-Governance experts from across the nation also participated in different sessions throughout the day.
MD J&K SIDCO Amit Sharma led and moderated the all-important morning session on the topic 'Driving Nation through the role of PSUs' in which he mentioned that PSUs have seen new role and avatars in recent times due to stiff competition given by the private sector but ultimately, they have emerged as better leaders due to vast experience base, efficient and loyal human resource base, huge resource base and overall systems support. The whole panel discussion hovered around same initial ideas shared by moderator Amit Sharma in which various prestigious Navratna and other PSU's Chairman-cum-ManagingDirectors (CMDs) mentioned about critical roles being played by their respective Corporations in overhauling the economy of the nation.
While underlying the importance of Corporate and Private Sector during PSU Session, Sharma concluded the session with the word that the nation is passing through a phase of transition in which PSUs have also adopted the e-mode in order to beat the precision, competitiveness and challenge thrown by private players and even international players alongside quoting several examples of successful turn-arounds shown by highly successful PSUs like IOC, IRCTC and BSNL.
Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das, in his presidential address, also described PSUs as the strong pillars of the nation and mentioned the excellent work being done by various PSUs in his state which is bestowed with richest mineral resources base amongst all states in the nation and ensured to keep extending best support to them in times to come. He also distributed awards amongst top-performing PSUs, Banks and Other e-Governance related initiatives taken all across the nation.
