JKNPP seeks early arrest of culprits for murderous assault on SC youth
10/5/2016 10:41:11 PM
Early Times Report

Majalta, Oct 5: Panthers Party activists today held a massive protest in Majalta against the brutal assault on a SC youth by BJP goons in Sitla Mata Temple Balot Ramnagar and failure of the police to book the culprits.
The agitated JKNPP workers numbering more than 300 raised anti govt. and anti BJP slogans and sought immediate arrest of the attackers and stringent action against them under law. Speaking on the occasion, Dharam Singh Bittu, tehsil President Majalta unit of JKNPP expressed grave concern over the deterioration of law and order in Ramnagar constituency during the last 20 months with several incidents of murders, thefts and criminal assaults on innocents.
He regretted that the crime against dalits had assumed alarming proportions in the recent past with culprits being granted immunity due to political pressures. Condemning the attack on SC youth named Bishan Dass in Sitla Mata Temple, Bittu said that the seven culprits identified by the victim included three govt. employees who openly declared themselves to be BJP workers.
He said that the most alarming feature of the attack was the audacity with which the attackers assaulted the youth inside the temple stating that they were MLA's men and no court or Police dare touch them.
He said that had it not been the support of Panthers Party, the FIR would not have been registered against culprits as the poor SC youth had expressed helplessness in the face of a powerful BJP mafia operational in Ramnagar.
Rajesh Sharma president of youth wing of Majalta Panthers unit said that not only had the attacks by BJP workers on innocents increased in the past four months but there were several cases of thefts in the area and sought immediate apprehension of the burglars who broke into the house of Balwan Singh Ex-Sarpanch in Khoon, Majalta yesterday and stole valuables costing several lacs of rupees. Strongly condemning the attack on Bishan Dass by criminals claiming themselves to be BJP men and sons of tehsil president of BJP Shiv Charan, the Youth Leader of Panthers Party regretted that BJP goons had crossed all limits of timidity and unruly behaviour by assaulting a poor dalit in a temple. He sought registration of cases against the attackers under atrocities on SCs Act. He further condemned the attack on Sandeep Singh inside the Ramnagar Police Station by a BJP goon named Rahul.
Prominent among others who spoke on the occasion included Karnail Singh, Ved Parkash, Makhan Lal, Baldev Mankotia, Dina Nath, Nirmal Kesar, Bhushan Kumar besides others.
