10/5/2016 10:41:31 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 5: Decrying government for its discriminatory and step- motherly treatment towards the package and non-package employees working in valley, All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir cautioned both state and centre that it may prove dangerous for employees in future if government failed to address their matter and concern.
Hundreds of employees who are on peaceful protest for last eighty four days here at the office of Relief Commissioner Jammu in support of their demands were anguished and annoyed from the government for not addressing issues of employees despite being well aware of their sufferings. However, the reason for staging protest demonstration at press club was to grab the attention of nation towards the miseries of peace loving and nationalist people of the country.
Carrying placards and banners in their hands, these protesting employees were raising slogans in favour of their demands. They were also seeking protection of their fundamental rights which the constitution of India owed to them. These employees said that they are willing to work in valley but only when such an atmosphere and conditions could be created by the government where they can live, move and discharge their duties with dignity and honour.
The irritated employees alleged that they are being forced by the respective heads of departments from past few days to join duties and in case they failed, they could be treated as absent or absconding. They called such tactics as very unfortunate and also motivated with an aim to deprive the employees from basic right of income.
While speaking on the occasion, AMEAK president Rubon Saproo urged up on the government to mitigate the issues of employees without any further delay. He said that they have full faith that they will get justice since the government at the centre is headed by the dynamic and visionary PM Narinder Modi and in the state by Mehbooba Mufti. He also appealed the government to frame a committee to look into the grievances of employees.
