Early times Report

Jammu, June 24: Ignoring rules, bye-passing established norms, extending special to favour blue-eyed and corruption is a culture in Jammu University. But now, the extent has further gone up under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof Ramji Dass Sharma as University authorities have clandestinely and illegally the appointment of Neeraj Sharma, as the Administrator of Zorawar Singh Auditorium. This was alleged by state President of Jammu Youth Forum (JYF), Ajaz Khan here today. Addressing media-persons here today, Ajaz Khan mentioned that the official push to the legalization of the eligibility of otherwise ineligible candidate Neeraj Sharma as Deputy Registrar in University of Jammu has confirmed the prevailing nexus in the government sector to an extent that even the office of His Excellency is being befooled and misled at will. Ajaz Khan said that the appointment of Neeraj Sharma, who is presently holding many charges including that of Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor, Administrator of Zorawar Singh Auditorium and Deputy Registrar (Teaching Wing), as Deputy Registrar was subjected to scrutiny by the office of Governor N N Vohra but, the Higher Education Department in collusion with University officials furnished the reply in highly favourable manner which justified his appointment as Deputy Registrar. Ajaz Khan disclosed that Governor's Office had desired the Higher Education Department to present an independent report on the issue of illegal appointment of Neeraj Sharma as Deputy Registrar.
