Aggrieved JEOs call on Ganani, raise issue of promotion | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 24: The aggrieved AEOs Forum under the banner of J&K State Agriculture Officer's Technocrat Association (JKASOTA) call on Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, Advisor to Governor, Led by Arun Gupta, president, the group of AEOs informed the Advisor that against the admissible quota of 301 posts of AEOs and equivalents meant for VEWs,/JAAs/ Jr AEOS, only 67 posts are filled whereas 189 posts were available when new rule was implemented on June 2, 1988. They said that the process should have been continued till the saturation of entire quota of 301 without referring any post to PSC for direct recruitment and thereafter 50 percent posts fallen vacant from time to time were meant for VEWs/JAAs/Jr AEOs till June 2007 and from July 2007, 80 percent quota was fixed for promotion of Jr AEOs to AEOs but nothing has been done as laid in the rules. The Advisor gave patient hearing lo the aggrieved forum and assured that their case will be examined properly. The JKASOTA also appeal the Commissioner Secretary, to issue order of temporary arrangements to higher posts as per Agriculture Gazetted Service rule of 1988 only so as to check the injustice meted out to most deserving technocrats. |
