When the legislative assembly meets tomorrow after a weekend break, it is going to be all heat, dust and storm as the opposition is flexing its muscles to take on the government.
Ever since the assembly has met budget session, the National Conference has been asking for tabling of the Kundal Committee report. On each occasion the government has shown reluctance. Finally on being pressed hard by Abdul Rahim Rather and Ali Mohammad Sagar of National Conference, the Chief Minister agreed last Monday to table the report the next day. However, contrary to the expectations the report did not come to the House and indeed the Health Minister said that the report was in the print.
Interestingly, the before the government could table the report in the House, it has appeared in the media. The opposition has come with two major allegations against the government –one that how report could go the press when government could not share with the House and second that it was deliberately leaked out.

Peerzada is out for now and deciding on a new organizational chief in the election year may be serious task –eventually the Congress high command may crown the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad with the additional responsibility of the Pradesh Congress Committee President.
Sources in the Congress circles said that the party high command is reluctant to choose any PCC president out of the available options when the party is all set to go for elections. An army jawan on Monday allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in an Army camp on the outskirts of the city, the third such incident in the district in the past one week.
Lance Naik Vijay Kumar of 101 infantry battalion, who was on guard duty at 215 Army transit camp at Bari Brahamana area of Jammu district, fired on himself with an INSAS rifle, official sources said.
His body has been sent for post-mortem. Army authorities have ordered a court of inquiry to ascertain the reason behind the suicide, they said.
This is the third such incident in the district in the past one week.

Three persons - two from Gurgaon in Haryana and a local resident - have been held by Gandhinagar police for reportedly tampering with electronic electricity meter installed at the house of the resident. The tampering was carried out through a remote device that was customized by the two Gurgaon residents for the local resident Rajinder Kumar of Gole Market.
According to reports, Rajinder had ordered the customized remote device through a middleman Raj Kumar a resident of Trikuta Nagar, who is reportedly absconding, and the two persons from Gurgaon were hired by Raj for the purpose.

President of Petrol Tankers owners association Anan Sharma has, in a communication to the director general of police, demanded a thorough investigation in growing incidents of black marketing of diesel and kerosene oil being supplied by Indian Oil Corporation to various army locations in the Kashmir valley.
The communication sent to the DG police today has alleged that diesel and kerosene meant for the army was being sold in the black in connivance with army officials.
