JAMMU, Nov 27: Congress is in for more trouble with ex-President and later Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Dr. Karan Singh's new found love with BJP.
His son and ex-MLC of National Conference (NC) Ajatshatru Singh joined BJP in New Delhi. National President of BJP Amit Shah held a press conference to announce Ajatshatru's entry into BJP. Not only this, he has been assigned the critical task of winning over Rajput votes for BJP from various corners of the state. Prior to joining BJP, Ajatshatru had switched over from Congress to NC, when Chief Minister Omar Abdullah took over as Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir in 2009.
Omar immediately handed over ticket to the Legislative Council to Ajatshatru while ignoring several other party loyalists. JAMMU, Nov 27: The state Government is reportedly turned a deaf ear to the directions of the Union Government on submitting photographs of assets created under MGNREGA. The photos were sought three months ago by the ministry of RDD.
Sources informed Early Times that on September 5, 2014, Principal Secretary in-charge Mahatma Gandhi NREGA, Union Department of Rural Development/Panchayati Raj had forwarded a letter to Jammu and Kashmir Rural Development Department, asking latter to send photographs of assets created under MGNREGA.
