Jammu, Nov 5: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today ruled out any possibility of issuing additional LPG cylinders to consumers in the state, contending that his government is not in a position to do so as it would cost the exchequer an additional burden of nearly Rs 225 cr. He asserted either his government could provide subsidized power or have subsidized supply of LPG to defuse the current crisis.

Jammu, Nov 5: The state government is contemplating to enhance retirement age from 58-yr to 60 years. This one of the contentious demand of the employees for the last three-year.
The state government dropped the hint in this regard when Medical Education Minister RS Chib told Union Health Minister that to overcome the shortage of doctors the department is thinking of enhancing the retirement age of doctors to 60 years.
The state has shortage of 175 doctors and this shortage is far more than Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
The state government can't raise the retirement age of doctors alone as it's bound to have reactions from employees of other departments.

The BOSE verification No F (JS-VER) B/KD/02, a copy of which lies with Early Times, reveals that while scrutinizing the original matriculation certificate bearing Roll No 17623 session 1974 of Mohammad Afzal Malik it has been detected that the candidate has forged date of birth as (31-12-1958) in the fake certificate when the actual DOB of the candidate is (04-09-1955).
