Security agencies get vital information

Govind Chouhan Jammu | Dec 29 Militants are planning to set up a transit camp near Jammu city for some selected attacks especially on the New Year eve and ensuing Budget Session. According to sources the security agencies received specific information that the militants are planning to set up a transit camp in the city for running their activities and they are likely to choose the forest area from Akhnoor to Sunjuwan and some Nallhas in the outskirts of Jammu city. Acting on specific reports the police and other security agencies have intensified their search operations and are keeping close watch on the activities of the anti-national elements. Sources revealed that the militants are planning to make safe targets during the New Year celebrations and so much so they are reportedly told by their commanders to stop their activities in the hilly areas and concentrate towards the Jammu city and make safe hideouts in the city and other parts of Jammu. Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Dec 29 Police today arrested a doctor posted at Primary Health Centre Chogal Handwara for allegedly raping his teenaged patient. Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Handwara, Ghulam Jeelani Wani told a news agency that Shafeeqa daughter of Mushtaq Ahmad resident of Sopore (name changed) had lodged a written report with police station Handwara on December 27, alleging that she was raped by a doctor when she was admitted in a Public Health Center. Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 29 Two suspected Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami (HUJI) militants, suspected to be behind serial blast in Uttar Pradesh, were produced before a local court, here on Saturday, which extended their transit remand. The duo was brought by a special team of UP police, which arrived in Jammu late last evening, well informed sources disclosed.
