Farooq predicts fall of coalition

Jammu, May 1 Chief Patron National conference and former Chief minister Dr Farooq Abdullah today predicted that coalition in the state is going to collapse any time after declaration of Utter Pradesh Assembly election results. Taking to media here today the NC chief Patron said that infighting within state coalition has defunct the functioning of the government about which centre is well aware. Given this situation there is every likelihood that coalition would not survive the tug of war within any longer, he said adding "I think every thing would become crystal clear after the UP polls. He said instead of solving issues of public importance, the coalition partners are keeping themselves busy in public rallies. Having spent three terms as chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Abdullah for past some time has once again started taking keen interest in the state politics. Srinagar May 01 Jammu and Kashmir Police claimed to have busted a module of Lashker-e-Toiba by arresting over a dozen Over Ground Workers of the militant group, who were allegedly involved in number of militancy related incident including the grenade attack at the residence of Chairman Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. A police spokesman said that investigation also revealed that that a local woman paid ` supari' to the module for killing her husband which indicates criminalization of militancy in Jammu and Kashmir. JAMMU | May 1 Gopal Krishan Singhla a patner in New Kashmir Steel Rolling Mill today surrendered in front of Income Tax officials with rupees 25 lakh undisclosed income. The sleuths of Income Tax (IT) investigation wing few days back carried out a raid in the abandoned residence of the during which some gold jewellery, cash amount and incriminating documents were seized. Reports said Singhla was also business partner of Joginder Paul the owner of Jai Steel Industry in Mandi Gobind Garh in Punjab who also surrendered yesterday with 2.5 crore cash in front of the Income Tax.
