PCC skips, Azad 'swoops' to pay tributes to Master Beli Ram | Makes resounding presence in Rajouri, announces sops in Health sector | | early times report
Jammu, June 23: Union Health Minister and former Chief Minister of J&K Ghulam Nabi Azad today made a resounding presence in district Rajouri not only by making some lucrative offers to doctors besides sops in Health Sector but also politically. While the PCC chose to play the occasion down, not even paying formal tributes to party's stalwart Master Beli Ram on his death anniversary, Azad came all the way from Delhi to attend the function organized at Nowshera by one of the local leaders in his camp.
Though Azad has been making frequent visits to state in recent past, his visit today to the border township today primarily to mark this occasion has unnerved not only some leaders within the party but his rivals in the political circles of state, who of late have been feeling uneasy and uncomfortable with his assertive presence loaded with political connotations.
