JAMMU, June 2 : Stating that all round development of the state is priority of the government, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Tara Chand said work on equitable development of all three regions of the state is resolve of the government and all out efforts are on to provide basic facilities to the people living in every nook and corner of the state.
He said addressing development aspirations of the people is high on the agenda and mega projects have been launched to modernize infrastructure all across the state.
Mr. Tara Chand was addressing a series of deputations of people at his residence, here today.
To discuss development matters of their respective areas Sarpanches, Panches, social activists and political workers from rural and border belts of the region had called on the Deputy Chief Minister. | Trains to Vaishno Devi shrine likely to start in July | | | |

New Delhi, June 2 : Travel to Vaishno Devi shrine is expected to get much easier as several Mail, Express and local trains are expected to go up to Katra, the shrine's base camp, from July. Work on the 25 km-long Udhampur-Katra rail link is almost complete and Railways will hand it over to Commissioner Railway Safety for approval to run trains up to Katra. Chairman of Railway Board, Vinay Mittal and general manager of Northern Railway, VK Gupta will conduct a full- fledged inspection of the hilly route before it becomes operational. The high-level railway team will also visit the Banihal-Qazigund line, which is expected to be operational this month.

These bridges on completion would provide road connectivity to a large population living in the hilly areas of Kangan constituency. Udhampur, June 2 : One person was killed and four others were injured when two cars collided head on near Rehmble area of Udhampur.
According to police, an Alto car collided with a Santro car at Rehamble area causing injures to five persons. The injured were shifted to Udhampur hospital from where doctors referred all the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu.
