SRINAGAR, Aug, 22: Soon after a "home-coming" call to Kashmiri Hindus by frontline armed organization Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, another armed outfit Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen has seconded the Hizb call. Terming the Hizb appeal as timely and apt, the chief spokesperson of Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen identifying himself as Sheikh Burhan-ud-Din told local news agencies that Pandits are a part and parcel of Kashmiri society and that they should return to Kashmir – their homeland. "We welcome the home-coming appeal to Kashmiri Pandits by Hizb and consider it right and timely," the spokesperson said. Guaranteeing safety and security of their lives and properties, the spokesperson suggested Pandit community to come home and partake in the "ongoing freedom struggle". Spokesperson also hit hard at the Ghulam Nabi Azad led-coalition government for what he termed "state sponsored terrorism". Jammu, August 22:-Chief Minister,Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad,has not been in a position to find “a young ,tough and effective” leader for heading the Pradesh Congress Committee. The idea had been suggested to the Chief Minister by the AICC leadership as it found that Peerzada Mohd.Sayed, being a gentleman, had not bee able to infuse discipline in the congress cadre resulting in factionalism within the organization. The AICC leaders also wanted one man for one post so that a new PCC Chief could devote full time to the restrengthening of the party. Jammu, Aug 22: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said on Tuesday that his government was ready to hold talks with militant outfits but only after they give up violence. CBI told to expedite sex scandal probe

Tuesday , August 22: COURT DIRECTIVE: The J&K court directed the state to provide the copy of the objections to the litigants. Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Tuesday directed the CBI to expedite the probe against persons allegedly involved in the sex abuse scandal in view of the Supreme Court orders last week. The investigating officer should expedite the lawful investigations as directed by the apex court on August 18, a Division Bench of Justices Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain and B A Kirmani said.
