Coalition claims fall flat; survey says J&K in reverse gear

Early Times Reporter Jammu|Sep 26 Day on day out we hear loud speeches and extended official campaign highlighting the progress Jammu and Kashmir has in past few years, but a recent survey says that the state in a reverse gear on almost all fronts. One of the most credible and widely read current affairs journal of the country, the India Today in its latest survey on the "State of States" has pained a grim picture of the state of affairs in Jammu and Kashmir thus flattening the claims of the Azad led coalition government that progress was being made on all fronts. The "India Today" survey titled "India's Best and Worst State (Leaders Lead Laggards Lag) said that the developmental scenario in the state despite huge flow of funds from the Central government is grim which speaks volumes about the tall hallow claims being made by the alliance partners Cong, Peoples Democratic Party. Early Times Reporter Jammu|Sep 26 With third consecutive day, the security forces maintained an upper hand on the militants killing twelve of them in different encounters across the state. Meanwhile, a security personal was killed in the operations while an Army major sustained injuries. Reports said, Army foiled an infiltration bid and gunned down three militants along Line of Control in Poonch district today. In a separate incident, police and troops of the 10 Rashtriya Rifles troops launched an operation on a tip-off in Ghatt area of Doda district.
