| Have Police succumbed to political pressure? | | 4 days on, Tramboo, PSO walk free | | early times report
Jammu, Dec 6: Police failed to secure arrest of Haseeb Tramboo and his father's Personal Security Officer namely Riyaz Ahmed after lapse of four days of registering case against them. If the law knowing persons are to be believed, the delay on the part of police could be because of two reasons. One that police have succumbed to political pressure as Kashmir based business tycoon has affinity to corridor of power in coalition government and other that police are hand in glove with the business tycoon. It is further alleged that police are giving them grace time to manage bail. Police lodged case against them for creating panic in the premises of Food Corporation of India (FCI) . Haseeb Tramboo son of Zafar Tramboo, resident of sector 7 Channi Himmat and cop Riyaz Ahmed were booked under 3/25 arms act. Both were booked by Trikuta Nagar police two days after the incident. Pertinently, on December 1, Haseeb Tramboo accompanied by his father's PSO entered into the FCI premises in Bahu Plaza and pulled out latter's weapon threatening the other claimants to desist from participating in the tendering. Before the police present on the occasion could have got into the act, Tramboo waived the gun in the open and challenged other aspirants of the tender. Police overpowered the culprit, Haseeb Tramboo and his father's PSO, but the two could not be arrested due to the pandemonium in the hall of FCI. They could recover the weapon only. |
