| Bear mauls 22 year old youth | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kishtwar, Dec 6 : 22 year old Jameel Ahmed son of Taj Din Gujjar resident of Sigdi Mazna Tehsil Chatroo District Kishtwar got seriously injured when a bear attacked him outside his residence in wee hours of thursday.
According to the family members of the victim, Jameel Ahmed was washing his face when the bear attacked him outside his residence. The family members said that by the time they could come to his rescue; the predator had left him severely bruised. They said that with the help of the locals, they shifted Jameel to District Hospital Kishtwar where doctors termed his condition as critical and shifted him to Government Medical College Jammu. The family members also slamed wildlife department for not providing them any kind of help despite the fact that the family members and the local people informed the officials of wildlife department about the incident in time. "The officials of wildlife department not even visited the hospital to inquire about the well being of critically injured Jameel, let alone providing any kind of financial help" added the relatives of Jameel Ahmed. The injured Jameel is the father of two and belongs to poor family. Local people of his village demanded financial help for the treatment of the poor victim. |
