Govt employees to observe strike on Dec 14, 15

Jammu, Dec 6 : Jammu and Kashmir government employees will go on a two-day strike from December 14 demanding implementation of agreements signed between the government and Joint Consultative Committee. "We have appealed to all government employees to take part in the 'Kaam Chor Hartal', to press the government for immediate implementation of all agreements signed between the state government and JCC leadership," President Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Mohammad Gafoor Dar said in a statement issued here. He further said they had earlier held protest demonstrations in Jammu province. Mr Dar stated that agreements included enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years, regularisation of all daily rate workers, casual labourers and ITI trained workers, removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre and pre-revised grade of 6500-10,500 and budgetary support to public sector corporations for release of salary of the workers.
