| Contesting 2014 elections jointly upto Cong High command : Prof Soz | | "Rahul , Azad, Omar to participate in Panchayti Conferences" | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar/Jammu, Dec 8: Reiterating that idea of contesting 2014 Assembly elections jointly might be Chief Minster Omar Abdullah's personal aspiration and Opinion, Presdesh Congress President Prof Saif ud din Soz today said the decision on the matter was lying with Congress high command. He though hinted that the NC-Congress bonhomie will continue till next elections. "Our coalition govt is doing well. We might have arguments with each other on certain issues, but that will never lead us to confrontation." Soz said during his address to party workers at party headquarters in Srinagar. "Contesting the next Assembly elections jointly is not our domain to take decision on. Such decisions are taken at high command level in Congress," underlined, Soz adding that suggestions would also may seek from party workers. He however was quick to add that even then, party high command is the ultimate authority to take a call on such issues. According to KNS, Prof Soz also appreciated party backed Punches and Sarpanches for voting in favor of coalition candidates. In his address he assured the village representatives that the govt was considering to provide honorarium and insurance cover to them and said that Panchayat Conferences would be conducted in Srinagar and Jammu Provinces very soon in which top congress leadership including Rahul Gandhi, Gh Nabi Azad, Mohan Prakash and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah would be invited. The state Congress Chief also said that the BDS polls would be conducted very soon, which will be followed by the municipal polls. Meanwhile Congress spokesman added, Prof Saifuddin Soz President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee presided over a thanks giving ceremony at Congress Party HQ Srinagar and addressed largely attended meeting of Congress Party Workers. Prof. Soz thanked all Sarpanches and Panches of the state and his party cadres for having participated in the Panchayat Elections in such a sizeable number i.e. 93%, which itself is a history. Prominent among present on this occasion included recently elected MLC Gulam Nabi Monga, Mohd Muzaffar Parray Senior Vice President, Abdul Majid Padder, Bashir Ahmad Magrey MLC Vice President, Mohd Anwar Bhat, Amreeen Bader, Gulam Nabi Mir Lasjan (General Secretaries), Usman Majid, Farooq Andrabi, Mohd Sultan Mundoo, Khursheed Ahmad Zargar, Dr. Sayeed Ahmad (Secretaries), District Presidents and general secretaries.
