Jammu, Dec 8: Blame game started between Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council and Jammu and Kashmir Youth Sports Council after it was revealed that both have no records of the players who are sent on national level championship.

Amazed to listen, but it is true that JK state Sports Council, Jammu which is nodal agency to monitor and scrutinize the records of the players of different sports is devoid of any records, particularly of junior level players. The blame game started between both the government departments when a RTI activist Balvinder Singh, filed application to the JK State Sports Council, Jammu seeking date of birth of all players who took part in 2nd junior national men's championship , women's national championship and sub junior national championship under the banner of Hockey J&K, organized by Hockey India, held at Delhi,Sonepat and Uttranchal, in the month of Sepember 2012.
In reply on the RTI NO SC/2437-A/3868, the JK State Sports Council authority said that the records of the players are not available with the department, which is sole authority to scrutinize the records of the players before dispatching them to play at national level. The reply made the RTI activist astonished as there were allegations of tempering date of birth of the junior players recommended by the associations.

The blame game started when secretary JK State Sports Council Dilip Thusoo said that the same should be in possession JK Youth Sports Council. The director of the later threw the ball on the court of JK State Sports Council. Later, the sports officer of the JK State Sports Council when contacted said that the records of the players are in the possession of the association. The reply of the officer made the RTI activist fumed as associations do not come under RTI act ,hence, digging of date of birth fraud seems distinct dream and will continue till Sports Council owed the responsibility of the same
