Cheat in the guise of LC watchman
Takes 10 lakhs for appointments in Forest Department

Srinagar, Dec 8: An employee of the Legislative Council who happens to be the son of a National Conference worker has duped three villagers from Budgam of Rs 10 lakhs. The aggrieved has sought intervention of the chairman LC.
The LC employee, according to documents available with Early Times promised employment to three youth from Chadoora, Budgam in Forest Department in lieu of Rs 10 lakhs.
Papers identify the duped youth as Ajaz Ahmad Lone s/o Ghulam Mohiudeen Lone R/o Kuzwera , Chadoora District Budgam, Mohammad Yaqoob Khan S/o Nazir Ahmad Khan R/o Kuzwera, Chadoora District Budgam and Imtiyaz Ahmad Teli S/o Ghulam Qadir Teli R/o Qazipora, Chadoora district Budgam.
The LC employee Fayaz Ahmad Bhat and his father Ghulam Hassan Bhat both residents of Qazipora Chadoora district Budgam demanded Rs 3.5 lakhs from each. Their parents paid one lakh (each) in advance and after few days they were given appointment orders. Upon receiving the appointment orders each paid Rs 1.5 lack that time.
The duped youth and their parents were given to believe that Fayaz Ahmad Bhat works in Finance Department and his father happened to be a close friend of Mubarak Gul (CM's Advisor) PRO, Parvaiz Ahmad Mir.
The victims, however, came to know after three months that he in fact works in the Legislative Council as a watchman, said Nazir Ahmad Khan father of one of the duped youth.
Talking to Early Times Mohammad Yaqoob Khan said that soon after getting orders all the three youth were asked to submit joining report at an office located near fruit mandi Parimpora Srinagar and after few days the youth were taken to Foreshore Road Shalimar and were told by some people accompanying them in a car to take of the plantation on the road side and this was their job.
"We used to come and attend the duties on the Foreshore road Shalimar Srinagar and continued this for two months and when we were not paid the salaries we came to know that we had been cheated" said Ajaz Ahmad Lone.
The parents of the youth had to sell their land and jewellery and now they have appealed Amrit Malhotra Chairman of the Legislative Council to come to their rescue. We appeal Malhotra to withhold the salary of Fayaz Ahmad Bhat and take necessary action against him said Nazir Ahmad Khan with tears in his eyes.
An amount of Rs 10.50 lakhs has been paid by the parents of the duped youth to Fayaz Ahmad Bhat LC employee and his father. The parents have not filed any compliant till date as they were under the impression that they will get the money back.
