| Forget the past? | | | Early Times Report Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today did some plain speak about neighboring country Pakistan on his favorite micro blogging site. Though he skipped the Northen India Chief Ministers conclave but he closely followed the visit of Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik. Responding to the utterance of Pakistan Minister Rehman Malik that it is time for India to move ahead of Mumbai 26/11 terror attack Omar said I love how Pakistan advises India to forget the past & look forward but always talks about Kashmir and the decades old UN resolutions. Omar gave a sound piece of advice to the Pak Minister by writing further , I guess the only past we are supposed to forget is things like Mumbai, Kargil etc. etc. but not the really old stuff must never be forgotten. "I am all for looking forward but it can't be selective. So if we are to forget the past and move ahead let's start in 1947 and move from there", Omar wrote on the micro blogging site. |
