| 5 years RI, fine Rs 20,000 in attempt to murder case | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 17 (JNF): Principal Sessions Judge Ramban Md. Akram Choudhary today awarded five years rigorous imprisonment and fine Rs 20,000 to Parbat Singh S/o Nagar Thakkar R/o Alinbass Tehsil Banihal, District Ramban who was facing trial in attempt to murder case for the last 13 years.
According to the police case that on April 25, 1999 Chain Singh Bali S/o Prabhu R/o Chapran A/P Alinbass moved an application at Police Post Ramsoo alleging therein that at 11:00 AM when their cattle were grazing in their land Parbat Singh S/O Nagar R/O Alinbass attacked them and fired at them with a Rifle which he had been issued as a VDC member, one fire hit him whereas the other two fires hit his brother Kaka Ram. This information was recorded at the Police Post and a report was lodged with Police Station Banihal. Banihal Police registered a case vide FIR No. 43/1999 for the commission of offences punishable under sections 447-A/307 RPC and after completion of investigation police presented challan in the Court of law.Both the sentences of imprisonment shall run concurrently. |
