JAMMU, Dec 17: Jammu Kashmir Female Multipurpose Workers Welfare Association (JKFMWWA) today staged a protest demonstration in support of its demand including promotion of Female Multipurpose Health Workers (FMPHW) and trained LHVs, as health educators and regular disbursement of salaries. Dozens of female multipurpose workers assembled here at Directorate of Health Services Complex and raised slogans against state government. Addressing the protesters, president of FMPHWA Kathua, Rajesh Bala said that despite assurance by Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture to concede the demands of Female Multi Purpose Workers, nothing has been done so far. She threatened that FMPHWA would intensify its agitation if the state government did not concede their demands at the earliest. Others who participated in the protest included president JKFMWWA Sushil Sudan, Mahima Devi, Mohni Raina, Nancy Bhan, Urmila Jamwal and Sudershan Kour. |
