| Two youth held with capsules | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Dec 17: Police today arrested two youths including an engineering student and recovered 780 capsules from their procession in border district Rajouri in two separate incidents in past 24 hours.
First incident took place on Sunday in Thanam-andi area of the region where police recovered 250 capsules of narcotic substance inside the car on Naka.
Sources said, on a tip off a police team under supervision of SDPO, Thanam-andi Muzbir Rehman has conducted special Naka at the Thanamandi Bridge where a drug peddler Toqir Razzak Mirza (engineering student) son of Moha-mmed Razzak Mirza residence of Behrote teshil Thanamandi at present Rajouri was arrested during checking.
During police interrogation, he disclosed the name of medical shop from where he bought the capsules, according to sources; he took police to medicine shop run by one Qaid Qureshi son of Mushtaq of (Sarpanch) Shahadra Sharif.
SDPO, Thanamandi said that police along with Naib Tehsildar conducted raid on the shop, however, the owner escaped from the spot.
Police have also registered case under FIR number 189 /12 under section 8/21/22 NDPS act in concerned police station.
Meanwhile, police arrested a youth identified as Shenaz Bhat, 22 son of Maqbool Bhat of ward number 8 Rajouri along with 520 narcotics intoxicant capsules from his procession. Police said, on tip of, police conducted raids in the city and recovered capsules from his possession.
Police have registered FIR number 620 under NDPS act in concerned police station and further investigation is on.
