| LPG agency holders harass consumers | | | early times report
Kathua, Dec 17: In a statement issued here today by the Assistant Director CAPD Kathua it has been admitted that LPG agencies have not given any intimation about the true formalities regarding the new connections to the consumers of the Kathua.
Sanjeev Verma, youth leader of Nature Mankind Friendly Glo-bal Movement has said the LPG agencies are deliberately harassing the consumers in the name of showing many documents while the consumer has to show any one identity of his residence.
A senior official of the LPG agencies has clearly said that the Ration Card is not necessary if the consumer bears other residence proof document.
He said that the state Govt has stopped to prepare/ bifurcate new Ration Cards Despite this when consumers complete the formalities by attaching PHE bill, Bank Pass Book etc the LPG agency holder forces the consumer to attach the Ration Card. He said the guideline show if Ration Card is not available, the other identity proof like Bank Pass Book, Pan Card, PHE bill, Electricity Bill any one of them can be attached with the form.
