| Vijaypur stabbing case: Police arrests accused | | | early times report Jammu, Dec 17: Samba Police have arrested main accused who is allegedly involved in stabbing a newly married youth in Vijaypur here on December 12. A police statement said that Pabneet Singh son of Narinder Singh of Chatha Farm Jammu who tried to flee outside the state after stabbing a newly married youth Jasbir Singh son of Dheeraj Singh of Dayala Chak, Hiranagar was arrested. "During sustained interrogation the accused disclosed that he had developed relations with the wife of the victim some eight months back before her marriage and both of them made proper planning to eliminate Jasbir Singh on the fateful day," it said. Police has already arrested the lady on Dec 13 involved in the stabbing of her husband. Pertinent to mention here that the accused lady married Jasbir some seven days back and they were returning from Baba Peyad, Nagrota Jammu. When they reached Swankha Morh, his wife wished to go for toilet and the youth stopped bike at the nearby petrol pump. The accused lady in her questioning deposed that she had signalled her boy friend through mobile to come on the NH and take lift from her husband. Accordingly when the couple reached near 17-miles, Vijaypur, the accused signalled the couple on bike for lift and the husband offered him lift on the request of his wife who said that she knows him very well. When they moved hardly 50 metres away in an isolated place on the NH, the accused suddenly stabbed Jasbir with sharp edged weapon and he fell down. Thereafter, the petrol pump staff rushed the injured to Vijaypur hospital with the help of policemen.
