| JKDF women’s wing demands old age pension | | |

Jammu, Dec 21: Distt President JKDF Women's Wing along with the party workers submitted a memorandum to Director Social welfare Jammu and highlighted that from several years department of social welfare has not updated the record of number of old age persons eligible for pension and approximately 15000 application forms for pension are still pending for grant of pension.
JKDF Distt President Shruti Khajuria emphasized that it is almost unfeasible unjust and tough to make both ends meet with the meagre amount of Rs 200/-, and appealed strongly to enhanced it to Rs 1000/- per month.
Director social welfare assured that necessary measures will be taken by the department and demands will be addressed soon. |
