Miscreants beat ex Army officer's servant, set house on fire

Jammu, Dec 21: Some unidentified miscreants reportedly barged into the house of one retired army official and after beating domestic helper of officer, they set the house on fire situated in Apna Vihar locality situated under the jurisdiction of Gangyal police station today. Sources said that the incident took place in broad day light when the ex army officer namely Subash Chander was not present at his residence. Some miscreants barged into the said residential complex beat his servant to pulp and setting his house on fire fled from the spot. Local acting promptly evacuated the servant to the Gandhi Nagar Hospital where his treatment was in progress.
Meanwhile firefighters also were impressed into service to douse the huge flames and they managed to control this after three hours. A case in this connection has been registered and investigation is taken up
