| Bhim Singh calls for end of discrimination against J&K | | Shares platform with Gen Singh | | Early Times Report New Delhi, Dec 21: National Panthers Party (NPP) supermo Prof Bhim Singh Friday called on the people of India to elect a Parliament which shall end all forms of discriminations with the people of J&K "so that the national security is no more under threat of enemies of India." Addressing a gathering of lawyers, intellectuals, NGOs and others at India Law Commission here Prof Singh accused the Indian leaders and the Parliament for segregating J&K from the rest of country "in spite of 63 years old accession with the Union of India by Maharaja Hari Singh." The seminar was presided over by former Army chief General V K Singh who has now taken up pledge to bring transformation in the domain of democracy to cleanse India from corruption, communalism and criminalization. The NPP supremo felt shock that the people of J&K have been denied to share Indian flag, Indian Constitution and the fruits of wisdom of the Indian Parliament. He said those who are talking of total revolution and chanting slogans against corruption should also include the chapter on discrimination with the people of J&K by the Parliament of India because of the entire leadership of the country is to be blamed. Prof proclaimed that "Ultimate Revolution in other words a Mahabharata is in the offing." "Ultimate Revolution could be realized through the power of the ballot and not bullet only if the younger people irrespective of their political affiliation and regions join hands to cleanse India of our social evils and political discrimination. India needs one Constitution, fundamental rights to its citizens (J&K Constitution has no fundamental right in it)," he demanded. The NPP chief hoped that all regional leadership shall go for "Vikalp Morcha" to bring change which is the voice of the millions. |
