JAMMU, Dec 28: Department of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu shall be organizing the annual inter-college men's cricket tournament on the campus from January 7 on the campus ground, here.
Earlier, the event was allotted to GGM Science College, but the sports wing of the College expressed its inability to hold the mega event.
In this knock-out Twenty20 competition, 33 teams have been their in the fixture drawn by the organizers. As per the schedule, two matches shall be played on daily basis followed by the rules adopted by the Association of Indian Universities.
It is pertinent to mention here that during last two editions of the inter-college cricket, the competition remained inconclusive in the wake protest by the students of Department of Law for one or the other reasons. |
