Jammu, Jan 12: Police claimed to have lifted two persons for making a bid to kidnap a girl in Jammu city here in late hours of Saturday.
"The girl whose name was withheld daughter of one Farid Ali of Jagti lodged complaint to police that two persons identified as driver and conductor of a mini bus allegedly tried to abduct her but she somehow managed slip from their clutches, police sources said.
They added that based on the complaint police lifted both of them. Meanwhile, the lifted person refuted the complaint of kidnapping, they said that girl has affair with the driver. The matter was lying in police post and till late hours no case was registered formally in this regard.
The parents of the girl have been informed about the incident and girl was taken to the hospital for medical checkup, sources added. |
