Saahil Suhail Anantnag, Jan 12: While terming the recent statement of Lashkar founder Hafiz Saeed, accused of masterminding the 2008 Mumbai massacre as mere propaganda to create panic among the people of Kashmir valley, Inspector General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), S S Sandhu today claimed that LeT militant outfit is again trying to regroup in South Kashmir. After inaugurating a free coaching cum training centre willing to join CRPF, IG, CRPF, S S Sandhu said, "We have provided every facility to unemployed youth who are willing to join CRPF as part of CPG 2012-13 initative and similar centres have been set up in other southern and northern areas of Kashmir valley." While commenting on the killing of a sarpanch and one contractor by militants in separate incidents, IG CRPF said, "Police are investigating both incidents from every angle." When asked about the recent statement of LeT chief Hafiz Saeed in which he claimed that violence in Kashmir could get "ugly" he said, "this is totally a propaganda, they are issuing statements in order to create mistrust and fear among the people of the valley." S S Sandhu while responding to the question about the 'LoC brawl' in which both the countries have lost few soldiers, he said. "Conditions on Line of Control are seriously disturbing and can affect the Kashmir situation but government of Indian has activated diplomatic lines and the situation is expected to be normal in days." He also said that deploying of additional battalions of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in rural as well as urban areas of valley is under consideration, however he maintained that government of Jammu and Kashmir is not willing to accept them because they do not have much experience of dealing with law and order situations. Earlier, addressing the gathering IG CRPF congratulated youth willing to join CRPF and advised them to take the benefit from the Centre and prove themselves.
