ANANTNAG, Jan 12: Day after Early Times reported that a police cop grabbed State land in Thajiwara, Bijbehara, district administration Anantnag demolished the structure today.
A joint team of Revenue officials and police visited the spot and demolished the structure, district administration sources confirmed. Locals have hailed the move of administration and have demanded fencing around the land so that no one can again grab that land. According to locals, structure was raised on State land illegally for which village committee struggled and after 4 years they succeeded in motivating the administration to demolish the structure. Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Farooq Ahmad Shah confirmed the action. |
