| Displaced KPs demand setting up of minority commission | | | early times report Jammu, Jan 12: All Displaced Kashmiri Pandit United Forum in a meeting demanded setting up of a Minority Commission at the state level to look into the circumvention of the Government in conceding the rightful demands of the minorities in the state which inter alia includes their representation in the state Government. DN Kissu Chairman of the United Forum expressed regret at inattentiveness of the Government in delivering constitutional obligation for mitigating the sufferings and acceding to the long pending demands of the community. Prof. GL Koul Chief Advisor of the Forum had a dig at the Government for ignoring the community and their aspirations. He expressed concern on the dilly dally tactics on the serious issues of the displaced people which include, Enhancement of cash relief to save the relief holders from starvation, Implementation of PM’s Employment package in letter and spirit without any encumbrances, One time package of Rs. 25 Lakhs for over aged and educated youth to enable them to start their own livelihood, Payment of balance amount of Ex. Gratia in favour of those whos' houses and other immoveable properties were gutted or damaged due to the militancy in the valley. |
