Dedicates 3 state of art ambulances to rural belt

Jammu, Jan 14 : Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand dedicated three state of the art ambulances to the people of rural and border belt of Khour. Each modern ambulance costs over Rupees Twenty One lacs and is fully equipped with all required medical equipments. Besides transporting patients to better health care institutions for further treatment the vehicles would also work as moving health centre reaching to those people who live far away from the medical check up centers.
"The ambulance would work as a mobile hospital having facilities of ECG, X-Ray and first aid and would cover those places which are otherwise at a long distance from nearest health care facility," he added.
While addressing gathering on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the government is steadfast on its commitment to equip all three regions of the state with required infrastructure and active support from union government has resulted in launching of mega infrastructure projects in different sectors all over the state. He said development of rural and far- flung areas of the state is top most priority of the government and work on the roadmap to develop these areas on most modern line is apace, adding that exemplary development initiatives have been taken up by the present dispensation to address the infrastructure requirements of these areas. District Development Commissioner, Jammu Sanjeev Verma, SDM, Akhnoor N.S.Jamwal and other senior officers of different departments were present on the occasion.
