| Sagar of Delhi bags Panthal Kesari dangal title | | | early times report
JAMMU, Jan 14: Wrestler Sagar of Sat Paul Akhara Delhi lifted the 113th Annual Panthal Kesari dangal title outplaying Ranjeet of Ludhiana in Punjab in the main bout that took place at Panthal in district Reasi. Dangal was organised by Shri Swami Nitya Nand Dangal Committee under the aegis of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association. The winner of the main bout Sagar was given a cash prize of Rs. 8,000 in additional to traditional Silver Gurj and Patta by chief guest, SP Katra, Mohan Lal. President of the J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma presented Rs 7,000 prize to runners-up, Ranjeet. The organizers were also assisted by the J&K Police by way of contributing Rs 10,000 to the prize money. Among others present were former chairman of Municipal Committee Katra, Ambrish Magotra, SHO Katra, Sanjeev Gupta and Virender Sharma. In all, 56 bouts were played in this day-long dangal. The second main bout won by Jodha of Amritsar, who beat Sat Paul of Sonipat in Haryana. Similarly, the third bout went to Parveen of Sonipat after he defeated Murad Ali of Domana in Jammu. Other Results: Bobari of Jammu beat Inderjeet of Amritsar; Liguat Ali of Panthal beat Balli of Jammu; Lucky of Domana beat Lehar Singh of Jangalgali; Raj Ali of Domana beat Karnail Singh of Batote; Ajeet Singh of Jangalgali beat Ali of Domana; Anil Kumar (Mohanu) of Jammu bt Jatinder of Ajnala.
