EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 14 : A meeting of Privilege Committee of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held under the Chairmanship of MLA Ramnagar Harshdev Singh, here today. The meeting was attended by Mir Zahoor Ahmad, Ashok Kumar, Syed Basharat Ahamd Bhukhari and Durga Dass. Detailed discussion was held on various privileges moved by the Legislators including Mir Zahoor Ahmad, Sajjad Ahamd Kichloo and Engineer Abdul Rashid. In response to the privilege moved by Zahoor, the Committee observed that the persons against whom privilege was moved have already tendered their apology and the Committee has also directed the Inspector General of Police, Kashmir to withdraw the FIR in this regard. In other privileges, the Committee asked the ex-District Social Welfare Officer, Kishtwar, Dr. Khalid Hussain Malik and Chief Education Officer, Kupwara Ghulam Rasool Lone, to appear with the facts in the next meeting. Detailed discussion was also held for accommodation of the PSOs deployed with the legislators. Director Estates, R. K. Koul, assured the Committee that the issues raised by the Committee will be looked into on priority. Among others, Deputy Director Estates Arun Manhas, SP Traffic Rural Kashmir, Chief Education Officer, Kupwara Ghulam Rasool Lone, Child Development Project Officer, Thathri Dr. Khalid Hussain Malik and other senior officers from Assembly Secretariat attended the meeting. |
