| It is 'demoncracy' not democracy in Ramnagar, alleges Pathania | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 14: While condemning in strongest terms, the unjustified, unprovoked and uncalled for attack on the peacefully protesting Youth Congress activists in Ramnagar, allegedly by hired goons, blue eyed cronies and contractor syndicates of Panthers Party, Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) General Secretary R. S. Pathania, has lambasted the local MLA for trying to unleash a virtual 'demoncracy' in Ramnagar. Given the charges of corruption, nepotism, maladministration, mis-governance, lawlessness and least accountability and transparency and now 'brash hooliganism', Pathania has appealed to the Speaker to de-seat MLA Ramnagar, Harshdev Singh from Legislative Assembly. He further said that on January 4 last, a press conference had been hosted by himself at Press Club, Jammu whereby some details and data collected through Right to Information Act were brought into public glare while seeking a detailed inquiry into contractor- politician nexus in Ramnagar. In response to the said press conference, a totally blasphemous and slanderous attack was launched by MLA Ramnagar against me. It had been some two days back that the cronies and contractor syndicates of MLA Ramnagar torched my effigy and hurled worst abuses and bad names on not only my personal self but my family members too. Now that today morning when the Youth Congress activists of Ramnagar were taking out a peaceful 'candle march' in Ramnagar that MLA Ramnagar, Harshdev Singh, after hatching a well-planned criminal conspiracy with his hired goons engineered an armed attack with lathis, hockeys and sharp-edged weapons on the Congress workers causing serious grievous injuries to them. While a written complaint has been lodged with Police Station Ramnagar, Police is yet to register a formal case against the assailants and the 'goons' are roaming freely in Ramnagar without any fear, let or hindrance. Pathania also seek a CBI inquiry into the entire property details of MLA Ramnagar, Harshdev Singh. |
