JAMMU, Jan 14: To review the district-wise status report of land acquisition cases of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) pertaining to Jammu Division and disbursement of compensation, the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Pradeep Gupta today convened unified video conferencing with District Development Commissioners of Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Doda, Rajouri, Reasi, Ramban, Kishtwar and Poonch districts. The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner Jammu, Chief General Manager, NHAI, DC Stamps, Rajesh Sharma, ADDC Jammu, Dr R.S. Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Settlement, Administrator Officer, Assistant Commissioner Settlement besides other senior officers of concerned departments. The meeting deliberated in length the physical and financial status of works under Special Task Force (STF) under Revenue Sector in respect of Jammu Division. Regarding land acquisition cases of NHAI and disbursement of compensation, Gupta was informed that the total land involved is 13713 kanals and 10 marlas, out of which 12309 kanal and 10 marla land have been handed over to NHAI and the remaining land is 1404 kanal besides compensation deposited is Rs. 230.31 crore, out of 83 percent of amount viz Rs. 191.797 crore have been disbursed so far and the balance is Rs. 38.513 crore. Gupta apprised that under identified STF (J) under revenue sector, a tune of Rs. 10 crore have been sanctioned to Poonch district for construction of New District Office Complex/Mini Secretariat in Poonch. For construction of Mini Secretariat at Mendhar, the approved plan is of Rs. seven crore for which Rs. three crore was incurred during the year 2011-12 and Rs. four crore have been released for 2012-13 for its completion. Likewise, Rs. 10 crore was sanctioned for construction of DDC Office and mini Secretariat in district Doda. DDC Doda informed that the project has been taken in hand by JKPCC and would be completed in a stipulated time frame. |
