KATRA, Jan 14: On the occasion of Makar Sakranti, thousands of people including MLA, Reasi Baldev Raj Sharma, Additional Chief Executive Officer, SMVDSB Dr. M. K. Bhandari, Additional SP Katra Mohan Lal, prominent citizen and large number of Mata Vaishno Devi Pilgrims offered puran Ahoti in the 2-days Chatt Chandi Maha Yagya which concluded at Katra today. In the yagha, 51 learn pundits headed by Shri Danraj participated and performed hawan and pooja.
After Puran Ahoti, a bandara was organized in the Maha Yagya in which thousands of peoples from all walks of life participated. The aim for organizing the yagha and bhandara for the last 30 years in the town is to seek the blessing of almighty for peace and prosperity of the country especially in our state. |
