Jammu, Jan 14 : Alexander Memorial School (AMS), Jammu today conducted 'Christmas Raffle' at school campus in aid of Socio economically poor students. On the occasion, T. N. Kaul, Senior teacher delivered a speech on the life and work of Swami Vivekananda and Kusum Anand spoken about the importance of Lohri Festival. Meanwhile, a lucky draw for the prizes was also held in presence of distinguished guests, Principals of several prestigious schools of Jammu and sponsors of prizes. In the draw first prize an Induction Heater was won by Seema Gupta, second prize a Instant Gyser by Pankaj Malhotra, third three prizes including Rice Cooker, Mink Blanket and Guitar were won by Shakuntala Devi, Samriti Gill and Sheela Devi respectively. However, six other consolation prizes Toaster pop-up won by Papu and Shashi Prabha, Electric Kettle by Tania Sharma and Mohd Aslam Khan, Steam Iron by Asma Butt and Mohd Tariq. Gulshan Mahajan, Former Corporator Ward No.7, JMC, gave away the prizes to the lucky winners who deposited the counterfoils of the winning tickets. The Principal, Esther William, announced the ticket No' of the lucky winners. She thanked the distinguished guests for gracing the occasion and adding charm and solemnity to the function. S.K. Munshi, Co-ordinator, presented the vote of thanks.
