JKPWA, GTUPWA hail Govt for conceding demands

JAMMU, Feb 1: J&K Pensioners Welfare Association (JKPWA) and the Government Transport Undertaking Pensioners Welfare Association (GTUPWA) have hailed the government for conceding the demands of sixth pay commission's pending residual benefits of leave salary and cola arrears with effect from 1999. In a statement issued here today, State President JKPWA, Sampath Parkash and State President GTUPWA, Abdul Quyoom Khan said that it was righteous step towards up-liftment of thousands of pensioners of erstwhile Government Transport Undertaking with regard to accord sanction for release of budgetary support to SRTC vide order No. 032 of 2013 dated 30-01-2013. Parkash and Khan thanked Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather, Minister for Transport Choudhary Mohd Ramzan and senior National Conference leader Devinder Singh Rana besides the Associations are extremely thankful to all concerned officials including Principal Secretary Finance Mohd Iqbal Khandey Director Budget, Director Code, Commissioner Secretary Transport and Secretary Law for their sympathetic consideration of pending demands.
