| JAMMU, Feb 2: Education Reformation Teachers' Union (ERTU), District Kishtwar today hailed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for allocating the portfolio of School Education to Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand. In a meeting of the ERTU held under the chairmanship of its president Akhter Giri, the members said that Tara Chand as School Education Minister is good choice and hoped with Dy CM at the helm of affairs, the system of attachment will be abolished at ground level in order to save the future of poor students living in far flung areas like Padder, Marwah, Dachan, Palmar and Keshwan. While speaking on the occasion, the Vice President of the Union, Yashpal Sharma laid emphasis that mid day meal rice should be procured from nearby local market in order to save the time of teachers, who have to bring the food materials from distant places which in turn affects the studies of the students. |
