Gujjar Mahasabha seeks CM's intervention to solve power crisis in Poonch, Rajouri

Jammu, Feb 8: A protest demonstration of Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha was held at Dak Banglow ,Koteranka, against the recent power crisis in Poonch and Rajouri districts. The demonstration was held under the leadership of its block president Sofi Alam Din of Koteranka.
A march was held from the Dak Banglow to Tehsiladar Office Koteranka highlighting the demands. While the President Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha Eshfaq ur Rehman Poswal, appealed the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to intervene in the matter of recent power crisis in Poonch and Rajouri, he demanded to probe into the matter of sudden damage of 18 towers of 132 KV in Poonch Rajouri area, which were installed before two years back.
"It is an astonishing fact that all the towers which were installed during a same period have been got damaged all at sudden that is too in a same time. The damage of the towers is a great loss to the public treasury worth crore of rupees," he said.
Poswal demanded high level inquiry into the matter. He appealed to CM to ensure that all the villages of the two districts of Poonch and Rajouri may be electrified through RGGY Scheme.It is an astonishing fact that all the towers which were installed during a same period have been got damaged all at sudden that is too in a same time.
