Jammu, Feb 8: Thousands of persons gave a tearful adieu to Suruchi Choudhary, a 7th standard student of DPS Jammu, who was crushed by the school bus in the school premises yesterday.
The cremation as held at Shastri Nagar cremation ground. Suruchi's class mates were in tears and so were her parents and all others who attended the cremation. Amid cries and sighs Suruchi's elder brother Saurabh Choudhary lit the pyre.
Drapped in colourful attire, a silent Suruchi questioned the safety measures in the school that she so loved. The same question haunted her class mates and parents who were helped to stand near the pyre for the final darshan.
"I cannot forget good times spent with her in the class room, I am yet to come out of the shock of her separation. How can I forget her", said one of her class mates.
School teachers also paid glowing tributes to the memory of the departed soul.
The security men who had accompanied politicians and VIPs saluted the pyre. All of them were in tears. |
