Kishtwar, Feb 7 : Senior Citizen Council (SCC) Kishtwar has demanded air services for Kishtwar. As per press release, a meeting was held here under the Chairmanship of its President Roshan Lal Parihar. Speaking on the occasion he urged upon the Civil Aviation Ministry, Government of India to start Air Services for Kishtwar with immediate effect and termed it as long pending demand. He said that Kishtwar District comprised of four Tehsils and stands at third position after Leh and Kargil in terms of its population as well as area in the State. He further said that people residing in far off places like Marwah, Dachhan and Paddar, Chatroo are facing enormous difficulties during winter. Senior Citizens also make the mockery of New Recruitment Policy and demanded its abolition with immediate effect. Parihar stressed upon Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to follow up his agreement was reached between executing Agency and government of J&K enshrined in PPP Agreement in terms of job avenues in various upcoming H.E. Projects. He has demanded that first priority of employment opportunity be given to the local Unemployed Youths of District Kishtwar. He said that in the event of deviation from agreement, the people ofKishtwar will leave with no other option except protests. Mushtaq Ahmed Qazi, Zaffar Ali Doolwal, Bashir Ahmed Mugal, Ramesh Chander Sen, Niaz Ahmed Dev, Hans Raj Bhutiyal, Lekh Raj Nirala and others were present in the meeting. |
