| Driver decamps with Rs 1.84 lakh, arrested | | |
Jammu: Jammu police today arrested a driver, who decamped with money in this winter capital of the state. "The accused identified as Lucky, resident of village Changayee, Arnia was arrested today after his employer namely Sanjay Gupta lodged a complaint that he had decamped with Rs 1.84 lakh, which he had kept in the car," Neelam Saini, in-charge Police Post Sarwal here said. She said the accused was complainant's driver. "Gupta was going to bank to deposit the amount when accused driver, on getting opportunity, decamped with the money," the police officer added. She said raids were conducted on specific inputs and he was arrested within hours. A case has been registered and investigations are in progress. |
