JAMMU, Feb 21: Organised by the All J&K Indira Gandhi People's Association in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA), the 3rd Rajiv Gandhi Football Gold Cup shall take place at GGM Science College ground, here from February 24.
This was disclosed by president of the Association, Narinder Gupta in an interaction with media, here this afternoon.
He said that over more 20 prominent teams, including those from outside the state, have confirmed their participation. The competition, to be played on knock-out basis, shall be declared open by Minister for Sports, Taj Mohi-ud-Din.
For the smooth conduct of the event, a 21-member organizing committee has been formed by the association under the leadership of Narinder Gupta. "The competition shall be played following the laid down rules of the All India Football Federation (AIFF). All the participating clubs have been circulated with the copy of the guidelines to be observed during the tournament," informed Gupta. |
