Kulgam School that functions on papers from last 2 years
‘ZEO will act after situation improves’

Kulgam, Feb 21: Chief Education Officer Kulgam amazingly failed to act against the Zonal Education Officer Qoimoh who was directed to submit afresh report about the Government Primary School Nai-Basti Qoimoh Kulgam that was closed down after two months when it was established in year 2010. However, the school continues to function on papers and building owner is receiving monthly rent.
Chief Education officer Kulgam on 31st of January after being informed about the scam told early times that he has directed Zonal Education Officer Qimoh to submit a detailed report about the closure of school but till date no report has been submitted. "I have asked ZEO to submit a report about the matter within two days as I have to rush to Jammu for official meeting and will discuss this matter with General Administrative department for necessary action." CEO Kulgam told early time on 31st of January while accepting the negligence done by the predecessors. Today, Cheif education Officer Kulgam said, "what can I do? ZEO didn't send me the report. Don't worry I will do it once situation improves in the valley." Sources inside the department revealed that both the district officials have covered scam from last 2 years and they are trying to keep high officials unaware about the fact.
"Corruption has badly affected education department particularly Kulgam district, both the officials are corrupt and because of the corruption it is evident that they are not taking action against those ReT teachers as well as are giving monthly rent to building owner as they are getting share from the amount." Sources further revealed. On being contacted, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Janhangir Ahmad Mir assured swift action.
Worth to mention that early times on 31 January published detailed report about Government Primary School Nai-Basti Qimoh that was established under SSA in year 2010 fake enrolment of students but was closed down only after two months. However school continues to function on papers as exposed the scam as both the appointed teachers who according to guidelines should have gone disengaged, continues to get their salaries while as the building owner also continues to get monthly rent.
